First of all the urgent need is to shift the service bus stand to Pumpwell area where a plot has been selected for formation of new bus stand so that congestion of traffic in Hampankatta be reduced and frequent traffic jam be avoided. Recently number of vehicles increased that causes traffic jams. Secondly big vehicles are being parked on both sides of the roads thus making our roads still narrower.. Then what the fun of widening our roads. Is our roads meant for parking or for the smooth movement of vehicles? The other probllem is about illegal rikshaw parking stands here and there which causes great inconvenience to pedestrians and general public. Such illegal rikshaw stands should be identified and taken action to vacate the stands. This needs to be attended on top priority basis.

Other than catching two wheeler riders for not wearing helmets, I do not see much being done.
All that is being done is adding few one-ways, putting up a few no-parking boards and causing inconvenience.

Is there any rule which says " YOU CAN HAVE ONLY SO MANY DOGS IN ONE HOUSE ".

This phone -In programme is no use. Simply waste of time. I participate in almost all programmes, but still now I have not seen a single complaint they have have solved. If our traffic police really want to improve the system they must first shift the service bus stand. This can not be possible because of the lobby. We have the worst traffic system because of the service buses are flying in the city.

    Dear Mr. Sudesh,
If you wait for the buses to come for the fitness certifacate to reduce the height of the footboard then I am sure the next generation will see the changes, because we who travel by these private buses have an idea of the fitness they have and byvthe way I am sure that they don't even know that a certificate of fitness is required.
Happy travelling dear seniors if what is said comes true before our end comes.
    God bless us.

Mangaluru roads and traffic/ transport system will take decades to rectify because of the private bus mafia. At the State Bank area why the city buses have to stop after the State Bank circle and cause a hindrance to all the other commuters, then again wait near the Lady Goshen/ town hall area. A few months back the city buses were ordered to issue tickets to the passengers but they are not issuing the tickets now and the senior citizens seat are used by younger people and the conductors are not bothered about it even senior citizens are frightened to demand for the citizens. The city buses stop anywhere possible to get some good collection. The Govt. should abolish the private city, service and private buses. The roads should be improved and all road marking should be up to the mark.

Every bus and heavy vehicle has 2 horns. 1 high decibel horn to scare away other motorists / pedestrians, another low decibel horn to show the police. Is it legal to have 2 horns?

It is 100% legal as it helps traffic police to pocket some amount which increase his earning, if not daily at least one in a month. Otherwise don't you think it should have banned or violator should have been jailed with heavy fine in addition vehicles confiscation.

If you travel on highways, haven't you seen fish transport lorries / tempo's are discharging the water, which flashes on everyone, additionally emitting foul smell on the entire road . No action has been taken.... strange isn't it? God only knows when these vehicles were thoroughly cleaned....

Is there any possibility of establishing KSRTC bus transport from Bajpe Airport to Mangalore and Udupi? One bus every hour each direction will be a great help to all!! Bekkina Koralige ghante kattuvudu yaaru????
If it is state government issue, what is opposition doing??? Both are supporting anti-bus lobby!! Both Congress and BJP should be taken to task! MP / MLA's of Mangalore owe a big explanation to citizens,
