IndiGo's new flights to connect Mangaluru to Chennai and Hyderabad

Chennai, Nov 22: IndiGo which is planning to expand services to tier II and tier III cities will begin services on Chennai-Mangaluru and Hyderabad-Mangaluru routes from December 21.

IndiGo President Aditya Ghosh said that the airlines expansion will bring in competitive pricing in the market and passengers will greatly benefit. The initial pricing on the routes will be Rs 1,499.

IndiGo’s expansion will include services to Chennai-Rajmundhry, Hyderabad-Rajamundry, Bengaluru-Tirupati and Hyderabad-Tirupati.

IndiGo has signed an agreement with Avions De Transport Regional (ATR) for 50 aircraft and took the delivery of its first ATR 72-600 in Toulouse, France, on November 17, which landed in Delhi on Monday.

Of the 50 aircrafts, 21 will be delivered by early 2019.

The expansion plan has come in the backdrop of the regional connectivity scheme (RCS) of the Centre. "It is mere coincidence that we have acquired new ATR aircraft and are beginning regional connectivity at a time of RCS. This regional expansion plan of ours was not meant to align with RCS," Ghosh added.

    Its good news for people of Mangalore and all the business man around my request to the Indigo people is that why no flights from Mangalore to Goa let them survey i am sure that there are travellers to goa for sure any way all the best Indigo

    What happens is that in budget airlines they keep the base airfare low & try to make money out of luggage, wider seat, food etc., That's how it works here too. During flight it's difficult to spend time unless we are busy in full fare airline like having snacks, food, drinks etc., Since the extra items are expensive, people get angry since they have to sit idle without doing anything after spending time while boarding and more time if the flight is delayed. So my advice to the passengers is plan the journey well in advance. Earlier it used to be difficult even to spend around 4 hours of flight from middle east to India, but now I'm used to more than a day of travel from here.
    Also the staff in budget airline are paid according to the airfare, so we have to adjust a little bit. UDAN is applicable to full fare airline as well as budget airline. So it's not just the budget airlines which are getting benefited but all the airlines. All the people travelling in major routes are paying for it.

    As per u the passengers should bear the brunt of officials of theairline because they r paid less
    What is ur logic?
    And regarding delay it airlines responsibility to maintain the timing and passengers
    have every right to complaint/ fight with airlines for that.
    I feel you r working in one of such airlines and you hope to get public sympathy

    Beware of this airline. They trained their staff to hit incase of misbehavior. And if someone brings out the truth they may kill them. Make sure while booking your life under threat, by their staff. All are CHOR bais in this airline.

    They want to use mangaloreans as feeding stock for their international/national connectivity.

    But, beware of their pilots credentials. So many security issues we heard on their pilots like landing on front wheels, runway scares etc etc. Their ground/airport staff is another issue.
