Mangaluru, Oct 13: The police on Friday October 13 arrested seven persons in connection to the double murder at Farangipet last month.
Zia, a resident of Adyar, and Fayaz were hacked to death on the night of September 26. While Zia died on the spot, Fayaz passed away in hospital later in the night.
The arrested are Naufal alias Deal Naufal (25), Amir Sohail (24), Mohammed Fazul (25), Adram (29), Michcha (24), Taslim (24) and Arshad (24).

Preliminary inquiries have revealed that old gang rivalry was the reason for the attack.
Kannur Putta, who belonged to Zia gang, was murdered in 2012 and Ijaz Kannur was accused of committing this murder. Ijaz was murdered by a gang led by Zia on October 31, 2014, when he was in a salon at Kannur. It is suspected that the double murder at Farangipet was committed as a revenge.
Police are on the lookout for the other accused involved in the attack as well as planning.
