These are all election drama. All these politicians are controlled by bus lobby. Suddenly congress politicians have become very active, and almost everyday we hear the news from these politicians announcing new projects and new roads etc. I think we had enough of them!!!

It is shame that city like Mangaluru is operating without proper bus stand for almost two decades. When Bharatlal Meena was D.C . of Dakshina Kannada district. He shifted private service bus tand from Hampanakatta to State Bank as temporary measure. The site then suggested was Bangra Kuluru. Afterwards proposal was changed to pumpwell. Still nothing is happening.

city should be expanded. there is good possibility to create new bus stand just opposite of jokatte railway station by building new road from honnakatte in surathkal to airport road via jokatte railway station. even kerala bound trains can start from jokatte railway station and north bound trains giving stop at jokatte instead of mangalore junction(jokatte railway station is joining point of konkan railway and south railway zone). our MP Nalin kumar kateel also said mangalore smart city will come up in that place(malavoor village). it will be center point to surathkal, bajpe, bondel, kavoor, koolur, even to bejai. express buses going to udupi, karkala can be started from there, and also unplanned toll gate in surathkal should be shifted to some where infront of new mangalore port, just refer google map u will get good image. problem lies our politician don't tell where our international standered railway station, mangalore smart city will come up. They not even publishing plan for mangalore, just preparing them self for next election.

This bus stand project at Pumpwell is being prolonged unneccessarily giving one or the other plea. So the people are fed up. If Pumpwell bus stand is built then the Hampankatta area will be free from heavy traffic as buses wont come to SBI bus stop. If our Hampankatta City area to be improved and to become a smart City then send concrete proposals to build it and dont submit vague and incomplete proposals. MLA Sir please take necessary action to build the bus stand at Pumpwell without wasting much time.

Recently Daijiworld reported that Ramanath Rai let go off part of the land allocated for this bus stand siting that the 11 acres are too much for the bus stand. What a visionary leader.....

At the least make people remember your name for the good thing done to our city. Like the credit for Bangalore city bus stand is to Gundu Rao, IT revolution and rapid fly overs to S M Krishna, The Golden Quadrilateral highways to Vaypayee and so on. What credit we want to give for Mr.Rai after choosing him as our representative for the past 30 years !!! Bantwal , BC Road, Hampanakatte, Market, State bank bus stop, Nantoor cross, KSRTC bus stop ....which one??

I think talking about private bus stand at Mahaveer circle is waste of time. No body can control the Bus owners association. They have big lobby. Buses won't go away from Hampankatta area. Our city will not develop nor expand.
