Kundapur, Jul 20: Students of Government First Grade College, Kota Padukare, held protests opposing the new college timings, at Kota under the aegis of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat, on Wednesday, July 19.

The protesters said that students staying in far off places would not be able to reach the college in time if the college adhered to new timings.

“There is a problem of finding public transportation in some parts and it is not possible to reach college at 8 am. In such a case, there is a possibility of students bunking classes. Therefore, the new timings should be withdrawn and classes should begin as per earlier schedule,” they urged.

The students handed over a memorandum to rural office village accountant Gauthami.

ABVP leaders Dhanush Kanchan, Harshith Thekkatte, Ganesh Shetty, Pravin Poojary, Pallavi, Bhavya, Chaitra and others were present at the protest.
