Mangaluru: Partying inside district prison - police conduct investigation

Mangaluru, Jul 20: In connection with reports of party organized at the district prison here which were carried by the media, police inspector of Barke station here along with some other personnel visited the prison on Wednesday July 19 and conducted investigation.

Senior prison department officials from Bengaluru, who came across report about party organized inside the district prison here, contacted the the police officers here and questioned them. The senior officers at the district level asked Barke police station inspector to examine the allegation. Accordingly, police inspector of Barke station, Ramakrishna, along with a team of officials, visited the prison, checked the facts and submitted a report, it is gathered.

The in-charge superintendent of the prison here, however, has denied any party having been organized inside the prison premises.

Ashraf murder-accused shifted

In the meanwhile, nine persons accused of involvement with the murder of SDPI activist, Ashraf, at Benjanapadavu on June 21, have been shifted to Belagavi prison. Under instruction from the department of prisons, these nine persons including Pawan, Santosh, Abhin Rai and Shivaprasad were taken to Belagavi prison on Monday night under tight security, sources stated.

    People please calm down. They are not having DJ dance party. They are just having some food or cutting some cake. Whats wrong with that. Its a normal human behaviour. Dont you people want these inmates to have a normal human behaviour.

    Well said.Politicians do all gimmics and come out with clean chit.We simply watch their drama and at the end scratch our head.They use us as puppets.
    What ever illegal things happening at the jails are true.Officials and politicians gain from these goons and deny all charges on them without any shame...God only save us..
