Mangaluru, Jul 19: The muhurat of Harry Fernandes' next directorial venture, Konkani film 'Zanvoy No 1', produced under the banner Sangati Creations, was held at Hotel Deepa Comforts here on Wednesday, July 19.

Noted Bollywood director Lawrence D'Souza sounded the clap, while Eric Ozario, Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann and V P Lobo, director of T3 Urban Developers, released the banner of the production house. Founder of Daijiworld Media Walter Nandalike released the logo of Sangati Creations, and parish priest of Milagres Church Fr Valerian D'Souza released the poster of the movie. Parish priest of St Lawrence Church Bondel Fr Andrew D'Souza invoked God's blessings on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, V P Lobo said, "My dream has come true today. I am glad to sit next to my favourite movie Saajan's director Lawrence D'Souza . I am a movie buff, but have not watched Konkani movies. Director Harry Fernandes had invited me to watch his previous directorial 'Sophiya'. After watching it, I realised that Konkani movies are really good. 'Zanvoy No 1' is a good concept. I wish all success to this movie."

Fr Valerian said, "This film is a gift to the entire Konkani speaking community. We are thankful to director Harry Fernandes. This movie should reach every corner of the world. I wish my very best to the production team. These type of projects are an inspiration for our artistes and young talents."

Calling Harry a creative director, Lawrence D'Souza said, "With his experience and deep knowledge, he has the capacity of creating magic on screen. We are lucky to have such a director in our community. 'Zanvoy No 1' will be a mega hit. I too have a few ideas for making films in Konkani. I wish all success to Sangati Creations and the entire crew of 'Zanvoy No 1'."

Eric Ozario showered praises on Harry Fernandes and said, "He has already become the numero uno director of the Konkani film industry. Konkani films should not depend only on sentimental subjects, but should explore other genres too. Quality films will meet success. Commercial films will help artistes and production teams. We all are confident of Harry's success."

Walter Nandalike lauded Harry for his superhit films 'Noshibacho Khell' and 'Sophiya' and said, "He has a vast experience in the film industry. We are sure that with 'Zanvoy No 1', he will come out with something special. I wish the very best to the producers, director and the cast and crew of the movie."

An elated Harry Fernandes thanked Sangati Creations for giving him the opportunity to direct his movie. "The casting is not yet complete. There are many fresh talents in the Konkani community. Communication is really important which will help us discover new talents. There are a few limitations while making films in Konkani. We have to complete the movie within the budget. There is no guarantee of recovering the money invested. It is my request to film lovers to watch the film in the first week of its release."

Fr Andrew D'Souza and well-known entrepreneur Roy Castelino wished the producers and director for their new project. Walter D'Souza, Leo Fernandes and Cyril Castelino of Sangati Creations Mumbai were present.

'Zanvoy No 1' is produced by Sangati Creations. The story, screenplay and direction will be handled by Harry Fernandes. Elton Mascarenhas, Deepak Paladka and other renowned actors are part of the movie. The shooting is scheduled to begin in September.

Daijiworld media is the official media, TV and magazine partner of the film.
