Daijiworld Media Network-Udupi (RJP)

Udupi, Jul 11: Three bus personnel have been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in a KSRTC bus. All of them are the employees of KSRTC.

Bus conductor Yuvaraj Kattekar (45), driver Veerayya Hiremath (40), and additional driver Raghavendra Badagera (43) are the person arrested.

Udupi police made the arrests on Monday, July 10. The KSRTC bus belonging to Ranebennur depot of KSRTC has been seized.

The girl aged 15 is a resident of Manipal presently and hails from Belagavi. She had gone Ranebennur alone on July 5 and during this time she was allegedly sexually harassed and gang-raped by the arrested persons.

The victim returned to Udupi on July 8 and complained to her parents about the harassment. The parents complained to the women police station here and a case under Pocso Act was registered.

Since many reader from Daiji world are recommending to bring strict Saudi Laws type of punishment for these cats. But still no action is been taken on the rape cases which took place in India for so many years. Rapists are not worried about punishment at all.

It is an utter shame that these KSRTC employees would do such a shameful act. These three are public servants and they should know how to treat people traveling in the bus.

May God give strength to Girl and her family to cope up with this incidence.

Those rapists should be stoned to death in public.

In the news pertaining to Amarnath yatra, all slaves blamed Modiji, even though it was the mistake of bus driver going without security.

Mr. Anirudh P, remove those glasses you're wearing which prevent you from seeing anything that Modi does wrong.

As regards to Amarnath Yatra it is the duty of the government to provide security to the pilgrims as there is threat of terrorists to the yatra. Even there were intelligence inputs shared by the government to the media(don't know y it was done). Under such circumstances how come a bus unregistered was allowed to carry pilgrims and that too travel at night when the pilgrimage entry is stopped at 5 pm.

This is a case of negligence on the part of government and accountability needs to be fixed, but then when u wear those special glasses u only see acche din in India... good for you.

Rape is one of the most terrible crimes on earth and it happens every few minutes. It is a time that we retaliated against it in our culture and sends a stronger message that is not acceptable in a civilised society.
In India, the punishment never fits the crime. The current punishments are lenient and are not providing justice for the victims. More to be done to sort out these uncivilised social animals from the society

Since the all 3 accused are adults harshest punishment should be doled out to all 3 of them. All proceedings should be held in-camera without revealing the identity of victim. Also, victim should not be asked questions repeatedly so as to avoid going through whole trauma again and again. Public and media should support the family and help victim get justice for no fault of hers.
If accused goes unpunished or lightly punished, others do not fear doing similar things.

It truly sad that, this young girl has to live with that agony and pain throughout her life time. These guys will be out on bail in no time. Cases will prolong for 20years and these criminals will reach their natural expiry period.

When a ruling party gives a free hand for mob culture, criminals too think, they have easy way to get away.

As the election is nearing.., hope political parties don't try/jump to capitalize for their benefit, ... by selling these kind of news..., by accusing the popular & performing govt of the day.., though nobody can stop such possibilities..., and if that happens mean..., then in my opinion, ... it can probably give rise to suspicion to say/understand that..., whether the perpetrators of this inhuman/heinous act are in collusion course at the instance of invisible think tank or mentors with any kind of ulterior motive ..., after all now a days everything is boiling down to politics..., as we know now a days all across the irresponsible print & TV media is serving people entertainment by sensationalizing such instances at the behest of one or the other...,

Now a days law of the land or constitutional rights or human rights are neglected. What is in practice looks like majority people’s law and decisions which never happened in the history of India? They are ready to implement stringent punishment/penalty on Cow slaughter and Rape cases takes decade to come out with verdict. In the meantime mothers, daughters including old ladies are victimized on a regular basis. Why our leaders or legal system are not turning their eyes towards that. Please protect our women.
What is use of talking highly about India's achievments when innocent people are victimized with any fear of law ?

There is clear law & order in state under the leadership of Sriman Siddaramaiah. No single corruption cases in last 4 years even though anti human BJP cried they didn't have any proof. KARNATAKA WAS SOMALIA during 5 YEARS RULE of TERRORIST BJP & their achievements are as follows :
Daily attacks on worship places of minorities
Ballari mining loot (it is equal to India's survival amount for 50 years)
    Sitting CM to jail
Fighting for CM SEAT continued for remaining three years, Yediyurappa formed AJP, KJP etc
5 years Yediyurappa spent billion Rupees to please Gods by Homa Havana
Attacks on young couple, morning mist to evening dust
List continues lot of time required to write

    Only say Jai ho Congress

For information of all and sundry.....

The bus is seized to lift fingerprints of the victim and accused, secure any traces of human fluids, DNA material of the victim and the accused, etc. etc. since the alleged rape took place in the bus.

Mr. J F Dsouza its crime seen. If its moveable item should be brought to police custody. If unmovable then to be sealed till investigation finish. Its as per law. As legal procedures finish court will release bus as its government property using for public. Even depot manager can take posession of that bus giving surity bond to police and release bus. There is proof that incident happen inside the bus. Question will come why this minor girl travel alone by that bus without parents knowledge.
