Sullia: Scooter rider dies after goods truck hits his vehicle

Sullia, Jun 17: A person died in an accident involving a goods truck and two-wheeler near Talur on Jalsoor Subrahmanya road on Thursday June 15. The victim has been identified as Somanathan (55) from Kerala, currently residing at Talur in Devachalla village near Subrahmanya.

Somanathan was headed for Talur from Elimale on Jalsoor-Subrahmanya road on Thursday evening on his scooter when a goods truck that was moving towards the town from the direction of Guthigar hit his vehicle. Somanathan suffered serious injuries in this accident.

The injured man died in an ambulance taking him to the hospital in town. He is survived by three daughters and two sons, one of who is a soldier. A case about the accident was registered at Subrahmanya police station.
