Bhandary Builders are the title sponsors and will be supporting us for the next three years to promote this traditional sport," he added.

A traditional game, Lagori, has been sidelined here in the coastal region for long. The game is prominent in northern parts of the country and is being organised on state and national level. This tournament is all set to revive memories of childhood.

Better to introduce old childhood games like KUTTI-DONNE, GOALI (marbles) Korant Beeja (cashew nut) to revive the olden times games so that we get enjoyment out of it. Anyway All the best for your efforts to bring Lagori fever in mangalore.

There were no formal strict rules but we used to enjoy this game. It was only the players who used to play and enjoy. There were no people to watch this game. With rules in place, and with proper training, I am sure this game will take us back to our childhood.
