Police arrest 3 Pak nationals staying in Bengaluru under false identities

Updated

Bengaluru, May 25 (IANS): Three suspected Pakistan nationals, including two women, were arrested in the city with fake Indian identity cards and fake passports, police said on Thursday.

"The suspects from Karachi in Pakistan have been identified as Khasif Shamshuddin, 30, his wife Kiron Gulam Ali, 25, and another woman -- Sameera Abdul Rehman, 25," Bengaluru Police Commissioner Praveen Sood told reporters here.

An Indian -- Mohammed Sihad, 30, from Kochi in the neighbouring Kerala state and husband of Sameera -- was also arrested as their accomplice.

The city Crime Branch police found the accused staying in a rented house in the city's south-west suburb following a raid after a tip-off.

"Preliminary inquiry revealed that the Pakistani suspects obtained Aadhar cards and voter's card (EPIC-Elector Photo Identity Card) to fake their identity as Indians," said Sood.

On interrogation, police learnt that Sihad married Sameera while he was working in Qatar in the Gulf region two years ago despite opposition from her parents.

The Pakistani trio first reached Patna in Bihar after crossing the Indo-Nepal border from Kathmandu a year ago. They came to Nepal from Qatar via Muscat in Oman.

"We also learnt that the accused have been living in the city over the past nine months, with fabricated documents that were made with the help of local agents," said Sood.

A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Passport Act and the Foreigners' Act.

"We will do the formalities, including informing the Pakistani Embassy and producing them in a local court for remand to investigate their presence in the city," added Sood.

This is an eye opener. There are many such people already staying in India as permanent Indians. People should open their eyes and inform the authorities immediately if they find suspicious people like this. There may be someone supporting them. The agents and house owners who rented the house should be taken to books..
The question is how to catch these border crossing Pakistani and Bangladeshi who are threat to the country.? There should be some electronic devises which can catch these people easily while entering . Electronic land mines with sirens can be used at LOC. When terrorists step on these electronic land mines, siren will go off and alert BSF. This will also help to catch naxals who are hiding in jungles also.

It is difficult to catch these illegal people as they are already in the administration of the country. One of my friend from Bengal told me that he personally know two Bangladeshis in BSF and one in railway.

It’s shocking to note that the three could get Indian passports, Aadhaar cards and other IDs which show how strict our bureaucracy is. Whether they are terrorists or not, they illegally entered in the country, obtained these documents from fake IDs and stayed in the country illegally. Even Indians cannot get these documents easily!
It looks like the Indo-Nepal border is unmanned as anyone can enter into India. If people can enter into Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bangla borders without a thorough check, then is it a big deal for terrorists to use the same corridor to enter into India? If our borders are secured, how any Tom, Dick & Harry can enter in our country without valid docs.
All the four including the so-called “Indian” should be strictly dealt with. This incident could be just a tip of the iceberg, we don’t know how many such Pakis and Bengalis have become “Indians” with fake documents.

Corruption is the root cause of everything. Lakhs of Bangladeshis are settled in India and have all the required documents through relatives, agents and Govt. officials.

Deport all of them to Pakistan including the one who helped. Otherwise, take them to the Kashmir border and let the other side do the rest, usually what they do is firing across the LOC.
