Ajman: Thumbay Hospital to organize Blood Donation Camp as part of CSR drive

Ajman, Apr 26: Thumbay Hospital, the leading academic hospital owned and operated by the Dubai-based diversified international business conglomerate Thumbay group, will be organizing a blood donation camp in association with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center on Thursday April 27.

The camp, which will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm is expected to be attended by a large number of donors including the staff of Thumbay Group, and those from Thumbay Hospital, as well as members of the public.

“Thumbay Hospital is proud to organize this blood donation camp, which is one of our humble efforts to give back to society. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a full-fledged activity of Thumbay Group and we utilize every single opportunity to promote good health and well-being among the public,” said Akbar Moideen Thumbay, vice president of the healthcare division of Thumbay Group.

The blood donation camp aims to educate the community on the beneficial aspects of blood donation and to promote awareness amongst the general public about safe blood transfusion and to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily toward a noble cause. Blood donation camps are regularly organized by Thumbay Hospital in the city, to supplement the efforts of government blood banks and other regulatory bodies with regard to voluntary blood donation.

Certificates will be awarded to blood donors at the event, as a token of appreciation for their support to the CSR cause.
