This is a great gesture of thoughtfulness on the part of the Bishop of Mangalore to visit the Wenlock Hospital and share some precious hours with the Wenlock staff and also some of the patients. His Excellency the Bishop and the Diocese is proud of Fr. Muller's Hospital as one of the pioneering Institution of Medicine that has proven to be a dedicated Medical and Charitable Institution in Mangalore for nearly two centuries and has given so much to Mangalore in the form of Research specially for Leprosy and many other diseases.

Our Medical Institutes, our Orphanages and Asylums, our Educational and social contribution to Mangalore as Christians is an enormous gift of the Diocese to the ever-growing progress and prosperity of Mangalore. Our beloved Bishop is our "Uncrowned Ambassador" of Vatican to Mangalore, and well all have a tremendous responsibility and loyalty towards the welfare and growth of Mangalore.

Thank you, Bishop Aloysius, for your thoughtful gesture towards the Wenlock Hospital. There is a strong link between Mangalore and Fr. Muller's Hospital, and your close intervention with Wenlock Hospital has certainly a long term benefit to all of us
