Udupi: Speeding tipper hits autorikshaw, driver seriously injured

Udupi, Apr 3: An autorikshaw was toppled; seriously injuring its driver after the vehicle was hit by a speeding tipper.

The incident occurred near Masjid e Hanaf, Uchila in Padubidri police station limits, NH 66 on April 3.

The injured auto driver has been identified as Yogish(30), resident of Kunjuru.

The speeding and rashly driven Tipper from Udupi to Madikeri hit the autorikshaw from behind.

The autorikshaw was on its way from Moolooru to Uchila. The rikshaw toppled due to impact. Local people took and admitted the auto driver in a private hospital in Udupi. The autorikshaw was badly damaged in the impact.

A police case has been registered in Padubidri police station.
