Moodbidri, Mar 25: Police on Friday March 24, arrested a person relating to the life threat given to three Congress party leaders here.

Praveen Shetty, from Eedu village in Karkala taluk, is the person arrested.

As per details available, a police complaint was lodged earlier at Moodbidri police station against three unidentified people and Praveen Shetty for posing life threat to MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Youth Congress leader Mithun Rai and Valpady gram panchayat vice-president Arun Kumar Shetty. Relating to this complaint Praveen Shetty stands arrested.

Praveen Shetty allegedly made calls to Arun Kumar Shetty from mobile numbers 7259591411, 9148792405, 7760065503, asked the mentioned three Congress leaders to come to a temple feast on April 5 and threatened that they would be killed there.

It is said that a video of an attempt of assault on MLA Abhayachandra Jain at Daregudde had gone viral in WhatsApp and Arun Kumar Shetty had objected to it. For this reason Praveen Shetty allegedly threatened the Congress leaders, it is gathered.

    In India it is for anyone to be criminal to commit crime in open. Just use the wear some saffron robe and used the blanket cover of fanatic organisation and few slogans in the name of God.

    If he got arrested police station will be gheraoed. If killed MP will organise protest for compensation. if convicted lawyers and judges will be arranged 'clean chit' will be awarded.

    Since PM Modi's government came to power and Yogi made CM of UP all in the name of religion is not crime but religions duty for 'Hindu Rashtra'.
