Kasargod, Mar 18: Police personnel from Aluva in the state arrived at Chandera here searching for a man from Uttar Pradesh who is said to be having connections with the global terrorist organization, ISIS. When the police went looking for the accused, they found out that sensing their arrival, he had fled from Chandera. The police have taken his wife into custody.

The lady, aged 27, who was picked from a spot within Chandera police station limits, is being questioned, it is learnt.

Mustafa from Kadavath, Ernakulam, was engaged in conducting roadside sale of textiles here since the last eight months. He was originally from Uttar Pradesh. He had married a lady living within Chandera police station limits with the help of a marriage broker. The police intelligence department had found out that he has links with ISIS.

The police from Aluva had kept tab on his movements since they got this information. He however, went suddenly missing from his residence recently. The police personnel, who checked location of his cellphone, came to know that he was at Chandera. When the police came to Chandera, the man, who somehow came to know about their arrival, had escaped from there. Thereafter, the police decided to question his wife.

The accused is said to be working in tandem with ISIS. The police have information that he had married the lady from Chandera with the help of a broker from Trikkaripura. The police personnel are now searching for this broker in question. They believe that once they find the broker, it would be easier to nab the missing man. It is said that the accused had married two other women too.

National Investigation Agency has information that an organization named 'Abu Dhabi Module' has been working to recruit people from Kerala for Islamic State. Nine Indians had been sent to ISIS training camp at Syria recently with the help of this organization. Eight among them were from Tamil Nadu while the other one was from Telangana.

Abu Dhabi Module functions under the name, 'Daesh' in India, as per information. This organization had conducted secret meetings in the town and Chennai for appointing Indians for ISIS. This very organization had helped 22 persons from Padanna, Trikkaripura, and Palghat, who went missing from their homes and joined ISIS, it is said.
