Dubai: WLF honours over 150 academicians, corporate leaders in Gulf

Dubai, March 5: World Leadership Federation (WLF), launched its Middle East chapter by honouring top performing professionals in the region at its 'Middle East Asia Leadership Summit and Awards' ceremony on 23 February, at The Address Marina, Dubai.

The summit and awards ceremony, was designed to recognise and celebrate creativity, innovation, hard work and excellence in leadership, and received over 500 nominations from across companies and domain. Most of the nominations were at CXO level, and came from sectors such as FMCG, retail, education, real estate and hospitality, IT/ITes along with entertainment industry.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



“WLF is a value-centric initiative. We believe that leadership is not limited by geographies or domain-based boundaries, and we are committed to celebrate success stories across sectors and industries. WLF is currently functioning in 23 countries, and plans to expand worldwide. Our aim is to make WLF awards the equivalent of the Oscars in the field of leadership,” said Sunny Shah, head of World Leadership Federation and CEO, Collabera.

The success of the inaugural Middle East Asia Leadership Summit and Awards is a milestone in the journey of World Leadership Federation. The winners were determined by an independent panel of experts and industry stalwarts including Rama Moondra, coach, trainer, and visiting faculty at IIM, Aditya Nitin Shakdher, founder-CEO of Green Capital, Ashok Ghosh, president of CSR and Education at JK Cement Ltd, and Sunny Shah, head of World Leadership Federation.

Several eminent personalities from the corporate sector were present at the occasion. Those present included Mohammed Zuhair, regional director, Information and Mobility Enterprise Business Group – Samsung, Pramod Mangat, CEO - UAE Exchange, Dr Rashid Alleem from Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO - American University of Sharjah Enterprise, Mohammad Nagmaan, CEO – Gold Tower Group, Kaushal Doshi of UAE Exchange, Payal Patel of Inbox InfoTech Pvt Ltd, Vivek Bindra of Brand Vivek Bindra, Dhiraj Poojara, managing director – Royal Technosoft, Vinod Sharma of Unichem Labs, V S Venkatesh,CEO - Dr Joy Dental Clinic, Arik Morshed, Avinash Sisode,E&G Innovative, Saurabh Pant of Radisson Blu, MM Sheriff, founder and chairman - Krishnaveni Talent Schools, Abhishek Kumar Burman, MD - Nexgen Group, Rajshekhar Rao, MD - Wingo Vacations, and Madhok, the business head of Career Innovators.

The function was also made memorable by several philanthropists volunteering with cash awards and scholarships.The event was powered by Collabera, a leading US-based provider of IT staffing solutions and services.
