Mangaluru, Feb 23: Ahead of the Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan's visit to the district on Saturday February 25, miscreants set fire inside CPI(M) office at Thokkottu here late night on Wednesday February 22.

The Kerala CM who belongs to Communist Party of India, is scheduled to take part in the communal harmony rally organised by the CPI(M) in the city on February 25. However, the BJP as well as Sangh Parivar and right-wing outfits have been strongly opposing his visit, on the grounds that his party has been involved in political murders for years in Kerala, and alleging that his visit would lead to 'political unrest' and chaos in the district.

Late night on Wednesday, miscreants entered the CPI(M) office at Thokkottu and set fire to the cupboard in which flex banners related to the upcoming rally were kept. The flex banners, part of a wall and floor were damaged in the fire.

Ullal police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.

The Sangh Parivar has called for a bandh on February 25 in protest against Vijayan's visit. The BJP and Rama Sene have also extended their support to the bandh. They will together hold a protest march on Friday February 24.

    If Mangalore reality need to be 'smart city' they need to distance this Sangh parivar for ever which elected BJP since 1991 for last 25 years turning the city into disaster zone.

    It is Mangaloreans directly responsible for electing these leaders who have no fear of law.

    While i keep utmost respect & honor to every Hindu Woman, can you enlighten me ..., what will happen to the call given by honorable MP from BJP Sakshi Maharaj's call for four children by every Hindu women (not sure out of wed lock or otherwise),

    However, i respect your intelligence & inclination suggesting 40 from 4 wives really commendable(b'coz any offspring out of wed lock is always revered in the eyes of lord almighty)

    if you require Pradhan sevak every where for every incident then why state govt, dist administration, taluk administration, panchayat administration is required. if it is a pradhan sevak's works then remove the state govt. dist, taluk, panchayat administration. then we can agree that it is Pradhan sevaks work.
