Mumbai: CREDAI Property Expo showcases top firms from Mangaluru, Udupi

Mumbai, Sep 12: As many as 40 builders from Mangaluru and Udupi converged at Bantara Bhavana, Kurla East as the Property Expo 2015, organized by the Mangaluru branch of CREDAI, began on a high note on Friday September 11.

The three-day property expo was inaugurated ​​by Sudhir V Shetty, chairman, Charishma Builders, Mumbai.

Inaugurating the Expo Sudhir Shetty appreciated the efforts of CREDAI - Mangaluru in staging the Expo for the benefit of the members as well as the South Kanara community staying in Mumbai. "It has come as a pleasant surprise that 40 builders have gathered at one place. It is a golden opportunity for South Kanara people in Mumbai to invest in their homeland," he said.

Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, president, Buntara Sangha, Mumbai, Adarsh Shetty, president, AHAR Mumbai were guests of honour. Both of them lauded the organizers and said that the property expo was a positive development and has the full backing of their associations.

D B Mehta, president, CREDAI, Mangaluru presided over the ceremony. "For the first time 40 builders are participating in the CREDAI Expo in Mumbai and that by itself is an achievement. This is the first property exhibition after Mangaluru was selected for Smart City Mission. In fact, the idea to stage a property show in Mumbai popped instantly once Mangaluru was chosen as Smart City, in order to offer the best opportunity to the South Kanara people residing in Mumbai. Mangaluru and Udupi are developing cities and people from South Kanara in Mumbai should make the best use of this opportunity," Mehta said.

He also pointed out that the city will get equipped with e-governance, IT Park, tourist hubs, state-of-art infrastructure and technology-driven interfaces.

He said that with Mangaluru being selected for the Smart City initiative of the central government, investments will flow to Mangaluru like never before and lead to rapid development of the city.

He also emphasized that the Smart City tag will enable the city to have 24x7 power and water facilities and better connectivity. "Mangaluru will be well equipped to handle solid waste management and sewage water treatment in this initiative too," he added.

He also said that with Mangaluru poised for development this is the right time to invest in residential properties in Mangaluru and Udupi and become a part of the revolution.

He also commended the services of South Kanara community residing in Mumbai for carving a niche of its own in the hospitality and food industry map of Mumbai.​

A meet of chartered accountants of Mumbai hailing from Mangaluru and Udupi was held at the venue on Saturday September 12 and a brokers' meet is slated for Sunday September 13 at the Expo venue to evolve better strategies for promoting Mangaluru and Udupi projects in Mumbai.

CA Vishwanath Shetty, businessmen N K Poojary, CREDAI's Naveen Cardoza, Vinod Pinto, Harshad, Laxmish Bhandary and others were present.

Westline Builders, Poorvankara, Nidhi Land, Shakthi Durga, Bearys Brigade, Land Trades, Land Mark, Bharathi Builders, Mothisham, Plama, Citidel, Marian, Global Construction, In-Land, Northern Sky, Ace Developers, Ace Promoters, Vishwas Builders, Sai Radha Developers, Bhandary Builders, N J Builders, Allegro Venture, Matha Developers, Presidency, Mandavi Developers, Nissi Infinity, Regal, Ballal Construction, Khain Properties, Mahasathi Developers, Kalkura Developers, Rose Dale, Keerthi Construction, Syndicate Bank and other firms participated in the exhibition-cum-sale.

The Expo has evoked good response till now and the organisers are expecting more visitors on Sunday, the last day of the Expo.
