Mangaluru, Jun 6: 'Inland Espana', the latest completed apartment project by In-Land Builders, was inaugurated at Bejai New Road here on Saturday June 6.
MLC Ivan D'Souza inaugurated the building. Giridhar Bhat performed the puja while Fr Wilson Vitus D'Souza blessed the premises and Mohammed Kamil Saqafi led the dua (prayer) earlier in the day.
Addressing the gathering, Ivan D'Souza said, "I have seen many projects by In-Land. They have given good projects and contributed in changing the face of Mangaluru. Their previous project 'Inland Windsor' has won recognition at the national level. Siraj Ahmed has always been genuine in his approach to his customers. I was here for the foundation stone laying ceremony of this building and I am happy to see that they have completed the project on time.
"This project is in the heart of the city. The land on which this building has been constructed was where the great leader George Fernandes used to live. In-Land has to build projects in the outskirts of the city too. I congratulate and wish all the best to Siraj and his team," he added.
Jagadish Adhikari, vice-president of district BJP in his address said, "I am happy to be part of this occasion. Siraj Ahmed is a close friend of mine and I know him since childhood days. In-Land has made name nationally because it has built good projects in the city. George Fernandes is like a political mentor to me from whom I have learnt a lot. This apartment building has been constructed where he used to live. I wish peace and happiness to all the residents who will live here."
Former mayor Shashidhar Hegde said, "In-Land has contributed a lot to the city by giving good projects. It has always completed its projects on time. This part (Bejai) of Mangaluru has good infrastructure like roads, drainage facility etc, and now Siraj Ahmed has further beautified the place with this project."
