The gang of three had stolen the idols from Sri Bhagavathi temple in Kanhangad Kammadam on May 25. They had taken the idols in a gunny bag and had opened it in a deserted place to see whether all those idols contained gold.

Then Ahmed Kabir phoned his friend in Kannur, who said that they would get good price for the stolen idols. The idols contained rare combination of five precious metals which made the idols invaluable in price.

The gang went to Bengaluru, Mysuru and other places in Karnataka in search of buyers for the idols, police have leant from investigations.

The police had obtained the close circuit cameras installed near the temple and checked them for more information on the thieves. Accordingly the team of the police acted to establish the identity of the thieves and managed ultimately to apprehend them.

Ahmed Kabir has been involved in many cases, as per police sources.

The police team did the operations under the guidance of police superintendent Dr A Srinivas.

More details will emerge as the investigation is still in progress.

Lat me clarify. My intention was not communal at all. If the police encounter one or two of these kind of thieves, then other similar ones will be scared to do the similar deeds again.

richard ive the rights to express my opinion and its called right of speech so i dont need your suggestions, you tell me since one year what special benefits you got, i didn't get any from UPA nor iam expecting any from NDA. and iam sure will not get any. Is the price rise controlled, is the inflation under control, the economy is not worst but bad than the UPA.
