Mangalore, Feb 15: 'EngQuest' 07, the celebration of the decennial of communicative English at St Aloysius College was inauguated in the college auditorium on Thursday February 15 morning.

The celebration was inaugurated by Prof K T Manjula, principal of Besant College.  Fr Francis Serrao SJ, rector of St Aloysius College presided over the inaugural function.  Fr Eugene Lobo, the principal was the guest on the occasion.

Later a workshop on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) was held for teachers at the Teletorium.  Fr Peter Francis S J from the department of English of Loyola College, Chennai was the resource person for the workshop.

A seminar on Careers in English for Students too was held at the auditorium.  Anil Pinto of department of Media Studies of Christ College Bangalore delivered a lecture on "Towards being Employable while Mohammad Nawuaz from Manipal Hospital delivered a talk on "New Age Communication - Career Prospects."

The valedictory of the function will be held Thursday evening.  Dr R Shashidhar of department of post graduate studies and research in English of Mangalore varsity will be the chief guest on the occasion.
