Mangalore, Jan 1: Arthur Pereira, Omzoor in association with MAA Creations released their third album 'Hello Deva...' on Wednesday, January 1 at St Sebastian Church hall, Bendore.

Arthur Pereira welcomed the guests and said, "'Hello Deva...' is something you and God speak to each other."

Album was released by Mandd Sobhann gurkar Eric Ozario and the album cover was inaugurated by chairman of Expert College and musician Narendra L Nayak. Sponsors were honoured on the occasion.

Narendra Nayak launched the Konkani video song 'Tum Choltai Ashem' and the actor in the video Nagraj Amber was also honoured.

Cajetan Dias, music director and Lloyd Rego, lyricist were felicitated.

Melvyn Rodrigues, poet and president of Kavita Trust said, "If you listen to some of the Konkani songs today, you will find that the words are either shrunk or elongated like chewing gum while singing. This is a major drawback of our song writers. Song writers must learn the basics of music. The skill of maintaining meter and the knowledge of syllabic pattern is very important for a lyricist."

He added, "I have listened to to the songs sung by Anita D'Souza. They are very catchy."

Chief guest Narendra L Nayak addressing the people said, "Art is the best form to connect with God. Art is a gift of God, and those blessed with this gift are the children of God. In life if a person balances his pain and gain, he can survive without any problem. If you utilize this kind of art form in your day-to-day life then you are a happy man. Do what your heart and mind says."

Eric Ozario, who presided over the ceremony, said " Arthur has given a different kind of feel to this album. In Mangalore if we see 10 albums released in a month. There are lots of Konkani songs, but these songs are not shown on TV."

"To release an album, to get singers, to get sponsors is very tough. Today kids are addicted to TV, cell phones, computers and much more, but when it comes to learning Konkani, they turn away. I do not want to blame the kids, but their parents. They are the ones who are responsible for their kids."

"Arthur loves his mother very much. Today when the album was released, he called his mother on to the stage to be with him. Previously too, when his two albums were released he had asked his mother to be present on stage."

Maa Creations is a voluntary organisation started to promote local languages and culture. 'Taram' was their first Konkani album. 'Pani Pani Barsa' is their second audio album and 'Hello Deva...' the third.
