Doha: Konkan Toastmasters holds installation ceremony

Doha, Jul 11: After an eventful year (2012 – 2013) for Konkan Toastmasters that was led by the TM Filomeno Alves, it is now time for a newly elected Executive Committee to to have the club sailing forward with great zest.

The chief guest for the evening was District 20 Governor, DTM Vicky Mustafa.

 

 

TM Suresh Manivasagam, Area 68 Governor, conducted the Installation Ceremony for the New Executive Committee. President, TM Melvin Buthello, will head the newly elected committee. The other members of the committee are: TM Riana Pinto (Vice President Education), TM Jonathan Sequeira (Vice President, Membership), TM Jovita Pereira (Vice President Public Relations), TM Vanessa Pereira (Secretary), TM Sundeep Matthais (Treasurer) & TM Roque D’Souza (Sergeant – At – Arms).

Konkan Toastmasters club has seen tremendous success under the leadership of TM Filomeno Alves & his team. Before handing over the mantle, TM Filomeno Alves gave a vote of thanks to all the members for their support in the past year & conducted a Grand Award Ceremony to thank & appreciate all. The Outstanding Toastmaster Award that was determined by a point system based on Attendance, Participation, Contribution & Presentation done within & outside the club was presented to TM Christopher Almeida. The tremendous support from Mr. Wilfred Fernandes, Manager, Ghanem Gardens was whole heartedly appreciated by presenting a memento which was accepted on his behalf by his wife TM Mable Fernandes.

Past Area 68 Governor, TM Joseph Stanley appreciated the work and efforts put in by the Area Council and presented the Area Council members with TMI medals.
 
Konkan Toastmasters is an Eight (8) year old club. The meetings are held on the Second & Fourth Monday of every month at 7 pm at the Ghanem Gardens.
