Raghav, Raja Sagoo enchant Kuwait at 'Dancing Divas' annual event

Kuwait, Jun 9: Hot celebrities, glittering lights, melodious sound, mimicry, comedy and foot tapping dance - it all happened at this weekend’s Indian event. The Dancing Divas organized its 5th Annual Jubilation on Friday June 7 at Cambridge School, Mangaf, between 7 pm and midnight.

The programme was attended by Dance India Dance fame Raghav Juyal who also judged the show as well as entertained the audience with his dance performances. Another highlight of the show was the presence of Comedy Circus fame Raja Sagoo who was also compere for the event.

The programme commenced with local compere of the day Madhu welcoming the guests. Vidhu P Nair, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of India, Kuwait, sponsors and Dr Nuna Goel, were escorted to the stage and honored with bouquets. They were then led by the Guru of the Dancing Divas – Jyoti Patel to light the symbolic lamp. Vidhu P Nair and Dr Nuna Goel appreciated Jyoti for sparing her valuable time and bringing out the hidden talents of the children. A souvenir was released to mark the event.
 
The visiting artist-compere of the day Raja Sagoo made a grand entry mimicking Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Audience were amazed to see his looks, action and voice which were close to the original. He conducted a funny game ‘Sach Ka Dum’ to entertain the audience. His mimicry of Bollywood actors such as Devenand, Akshay Khanna, Rajnikanth, Gulshan Grover, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Shatru etc was commendable. Not only the voice, his costume and appearance used to change according to the character. The action of Bindu Dhara Singh who is presently in news for IPL betting was hugely applauded by audience. He is also a good singer and entertained the audience with selected old and new Bollywood numbers. His mimicry and singing enacting Lata Mangeshkar, Mika Singh and Sukhwinder sing was simply superb. In short he was a total entertainment package.
 
When the ‘Slow Motion King’ Raghav Juyal entered the stage, the entire audience jumped from the seats with a big scream. Popularly known as ‘Crockroaxz’ for his dance style, Raghav is one of the busiest dancer and choreographer in India. He entertained the audience with his dance and humorous comments. He also judged the dancers and announced the best dancers at the end. He also added his voice for singing with Raja Sagoo. The Rap sung by Raghav made audience spellbound and proved his multi talent. He impressed the audience with his talks, songs, dances and quick movements from stage to audience and viseversa.
 
The programme then followed very smoothly with each dance being one better than the other. The entertainment part consisted of classical dances, song, variety of filmy and folk dances by the students of the dancing divas. The best dancers of The Dancing Divas were felicitated with trophies by Raghav. A workshop on dance was conducted on Saturday 8th June 2013 by Raghav which was a rare opportunity for the dance fans of Kuwait..
 
The Dancing Divas was founded in May 2008. The aim of the first step of the journey was to live the passion of the founder, to teach and leverage the learning to the others. The founder Jyoti Patel herself is an Odissi learned dancer. She has learnt many other forms of dance in stints.
