Mumbai, Mar 19: "Through prayers we become spiritually strong. The message of Jesus Christ, his life values will help us in leading a good life. For knowing on these aspects, retreat programmes will be useful,"said Vasai diocese Archbishop Felix Machado.

He addressed the gathering during his preaching at a two day retreat held at St Gonsalves Gracia church in Vasai (West) recently.

 

"I have lot of concern and love towards Konkani language and people. Hence I learnt a bit of the language. For all your religious needs, I will always be ready and will stand before you,"he added

On the occasion, Bishop offered Eucharistic celebration in Konkani language.

Fr Nelson Pinto from Infant Jesus church, Bikarnakatte, Fr Deepak Fernandes, Fr S Dominic, Fr Joe Tauro, Fr Ozwald Gonsalves, Fr Nazareth among others were concelebrants.

Robert Menezes, Linet D’Souza, Patrick Menezes, John Rodrigues, George Sequeira, Leo Fernandes, Fr Prashanth Saldanha among others were present.
