Mangalore, Mar 12: “Education field is nation’s valuable resourceful asset which is instrumental in the development of country’s economy. Hence, is to be developed by imparting quality education in the institutions”, opined vice-chancellor of Nitte University Dr S Ramananda Shetty.

He was addressing the students after inaugurating the annual day celebration of Shree Devi Group of Educational Institutions held on Tuesday March 12 at Loyola Hall, here.

Aspiration, perspiration and inspiration are the secrets of success, he added. He later distributed trophies and merit certificates to the students excelled in academics and sports achievers and congratulated them.    

Registrar of Mangalore University Professor P S Yadapadithaya speaking as a guest of honour lauded the academic achievements of Shree Devi Group of Colleges. He later presented a trophy to the university rank holder Radha Thapa and Ayesha and congratulated them on their exemplary achievements.

Chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust A Sadananda Shetty in his presidential address revealed that the quality of education imparted in the college may be measured by academic achievements of the students. Principals of various colleges presented their annual reports.

Vice chairman Nidhish Shetty, secretary Maina Shetty, trustee Priyanka Shetty and all principals were present on this occasion.

Cylina Menezes proposed vote of thanks. Hemachandra, Sheikh Heena and Shalini Raj compered the programme.

This was followed by cultural programme presented by the students.
