    @Mr/Ms.Lalith,Mangalore
    Among the commments, yours is only one which describes the age old GSB traditional 'okkul' in a way which fits to YOUR mindset....no problem...
    I would clarify that okkul is a joyful/colorful holi type enjoyment among devlotees of the temple after annual Utsav.This is a tradition since ages.As you stated, the western dress outfits among girls/boys has no meaning here as this is not occasion for formals.Girls/young boys never induced and consume bhang.Bhang is very casually put in use by elders out of pure joy.I fail to undertand how you see pub and western culture here as the occasion is purely family oriented one.The speciality of the event is that every participant is very respectfully behaved just like one family members.That is GSB culture not only here but every where.

    I do see a lot of western culture in the outfits worn.Drinking bang and dancing on the street is tradition which is acceptable going to the pubs and drinking alchol and dancing is banned??? double standards here..and dj music??? hopefully the so called protecters of indian tradition are keeping an eye on what the youg girls are consuming here..dont get me wrong am not against holi
