Naveen Soorinje's arrest is highly objectionable and unconstitutional and against the freedom of speech ane expression. Naveen Soorinje never could become a party with the attackers. The charges are completely baseless, proofless and a revenge action taken by police and fundamentalist dictatorship forces in Dakshina Kannada district. Those who are accusing Naveen Soorinje for doing a commendable act by exposing the fundamentalist forces and their cruelty in the national level forced the government to act against the criminal forces that attacked the homestay. As revenge the police are being misused by fundamentalist forces which is an an act of dictatorship. This type of dictatorship against the media should be condemned. Otherwise, mediapersons cannot do their duties in coastal Karnataka which is shame to entire state.

Withdrawing criminal cases against accused/who is in jail under pressure by any quarters and while legal precedure under process is a bad precedent. It gives scope for further demand by others in favour of people invloved/accused in the case.If the government want to scrap the cases in toto it is better than making piece meal releases.Stae government action is nothing but making a mockery of judicial system and process.....
