Mangalore: Confident KJP Opens Office in City, Aims to Strengthen Base

Mangalore, Dec 17: The Karnataka Janatha Paty (KJP) launched by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa established its presence in the district by opening its office at Mahendra Arcade here on Monday December 17.

Addressing the gathering, Jagadish Hiremani, state committee member of KJP said, "D V Sadananda Gowda betrayed Yeddyurapppa who made him the chief minister. BJP has no value for faithful workers, and hence many from BJP have joined KJP."

"For 40 years Yeddyurappa travelled the whole of South India, worked and strengthened the BJP, but their leaders conspired and humiliated and insulted him without giving him any appropriate position. Yeddyurappa was compelled to form a new party in order to work for the welfare of the people," he said.

"In the forthcoming days we will strengthen the party in the district and assure that we will open our account in Dakshina Kannada. Many people from the Sangh Parivar are joining KJP," he said.
 
Taking a potshot at former CM Sadananda Gowda who was in the city recently to shoot for a Kannada movie, and who had said that KJP was not a threat to the BJP, Hiremani said, "Sadananda Gowda has no future in politics and hence it is better that he joins the film industry."
 
KJP has decided to hold a district-level conference for 2,000 party workers on December 29 at NGO hall in the city, he informed.
 
"Yeddyurappa is the only person who worked hard for the welfare of Muslims. Earlier the Congress ministers had sanctioned only Rs 150 crore to the Wakf Board, but when Yeddyurrappa became the CM, he increased the amount to Rs 450 croore. When Muslims urged for a place to halt before going on Hajj, Yeddurrappa granted 1.5 acre of land and Rs 40 crore near Devanahalli Airport. He is the best leader for minorities," said Hamid Kandak.
 
Ravindra Shetty, Ramanchandra Bykaimpady, Mariamma Thomas,  Narayana Bhat, Balakrishna, Aboobakar Kairangala among many others were present.
