Mangalore, Dec 17:
The Karnataka Janatha Paty (KJP) launched by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa established its presence in the district by opening its office at Mahendra Arcade here on Monday December 17.

Addressing the gathering, Jagadish Hiremani, state committee member of KJP said, "D V Sadananda Gowda betrayed Yeddyurapppa who made him the chief minister. BJP has no value for faithful workers, and hence many from BJP have joined KJP."

"For 40 years Yeddyurappa travelled the whole of South India, worked and strengthened the BJP, but their leaders conspired and humiliated and insulted him without giving him any appropriate position. Yeddyurappa was compelled to form a new party in order to work for the welfare of the people," he said.

"In the forthcoming days we will strengthen the party in the district and assure that we will open our account in Dakshina Kannada. Many people from the Sangh Parivar are joining KJP," he said.
Taking a potshot at former CM Sadananda Gowda who was in the city recently to shoot for a Kannada movie, and who had said that KJP was not a threat to the BJP, Hiremani said, "Sadananda Gowda has no future in politics and hence it is better that he joins the film industry."
KJP has decided to hold a district-level conference for 2,000 party workers on December 29 at NGO hall in the city, he informed.
"Yeddyurappa is the only person who worked hard for the welfare of Muslims. Earlier the Congress ministers had sanctioned only Rs 150 crore to the Wakf Board, but when Yeddyurrappa became the CM, he increased the amount to Rs 450 croore. When Muslims urged for a place to halt before going on Hajj, Yeddurrappa granted 1.5 acre of land and Rs 40 crore near Devanahalli Airport. He is the best leader for minorities," said Hamid Kandak.
Ravindra Shetty, Ramanchandra Bykaimpady, Mariamma Thomas,  Narayana Bhat, Balakrishna, Aboobakar Kairangala among many others were present.

Hamid Kandak.. how shameless you are to speak about grants to muslims and all other comparisons related to haj in your statement. Is this the only agenda this newly formed party has??? Why don't you work in a secular irrespective of cast, creed, tribe, and so on..........

BSY had quoted "BJP is the future in state and central", recently, he appreciated Congress and praised Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.
Before the inception of KJP, wasn't BSY ready to jump ships to Congress or JDS?

Can anybody rely on such an opportunistic and arrogant personality who cannot respect the party's decision to sack him from his portfolio? Shouldn't the party come first, than an individual?

Like many people do in Indian Politics, they become members of all major Political Party, they take everything whatever available freely from Politicians in cash or in kind, they have Membership card for all Major Political Party, but they never vote for anyone or they vote for good person if available in the list irrespective of loyalty to any Political Party. I think we have to do same thing in Karnataka too, we should obtain Member ship card from Congress, BJP, JDS or KJP. Take everything with whole heartedly whichever comes freely during the time of elections in cash or in kind. Apply for grants, free service or donations given by State Government if possible to claim but vote for right person only, who can speak on behalf of us in the Parliament, who can fight for our rights, who can take responsibility for development at least our own locality. But the big question mark is can we find anyone with all these characters, charisma or quality? We kept on voting for few personnel for many decades but unfortunately they did nothing.

Shobhakka could have sent some "Linemen" there to fill the gap.

If KJP can get 5000-10,000 votes in any of the assembly constituency,,, they can cetrainly defeat BJP candidates.

With these type of crowd, I dont see they can gain, 500-1000 votes...

Time will tell,,, how capable these folks are...

    Jai Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

KJP opened it's office with out fanfare, known leaders and political stars.I think, there are little impact in the DK/UDUPI politics with regarding to the KJP formation.Yes, during the time of BSY more budgetary allocations have been made for the welfare of minorities...but law and order particularly against minorities was 'MAREECHIKE aagithu. As far state concerned, KJP will equally challenge other major parties of Karnataka, but particularly affecting the prospectus of BJP. Any move against BJP by any secular party in Karnataka will weaken communal politics of BJP..

I really don't understand the emotional thoughts of our people. Yeddyurappa might have left BJP to make his own party KJP. People are forgetting what has happened during his tenure as C.M. Especially in Mangalore Church attacks and dramas afterwards who was the captain of Karnataka. He made properties in Shimoga and bangalore illegaly. He had to go to Jail for genuine reasons. Today he has become Saint. He is a child of RSS and BJP. Dear friends do not believe the tears of a dangerous crocodile. Please forget BJP and KJP during next election if you want to survive peacefully. Please use common sense in the interest of our state and co-brothers.
