Mangalore: St Aloysius Pre-university College to Host Pre-Unique on Nov 19, 20

Mangalore, Nov 16: “St Aloysius Pre-university College will host Pre-Unique, a state-level inter pre-university intellectual and cultural fest on November 19, 20 at the college Pretorium”, said Ganesh Amin Sankamar, Kannada professor of the college.

He was speaking at the press meet held in the Press Club on Friday November 16.

Pre-Unique is a state level fest organized every year by the college. Variety of competitions will be held during the fest. More than 30 colleges in the state are expected to participate in the fest. Each college is eligible to send 50 students for participation.

Nearly 1000 students from different colleges have already enrolled. As many as 4000 students are expected to participate in the fest, he added.

The inauguration of the programme will be held on November 19 at 9 am. Fr Elvis C Lewis SJ, principal of the college, will preside over the programme. Malini Hebbar , HOD of English, St Agnes College, will be the chief guest.

The valedictory function will be held on November 20 at 3:30 pm. Fr Elvis C Lewis SJ will preside over the programme and professor John Edward D’Silva, vice principal, St Aloysious College will be the chief guest.

Fr Elvis also spoke on the occasion. He said that Pre-Unique is a programme which is organized mainly for the students, to bring out their hidden talents. Such programmes are necessary to create intellectual bond between the colleges and districts.

Rekha Alva, Uzwal Menezes and Kiran Shetty were also present during the press meet.
