Iraqi Airways Resumes Flights to Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 16 (IANS): After a gap of over two decades, Iraqi Airways Friday announced resumption of its services connecting Mumbai with Baghdad and Najaf in Iraq, an official said.

The inaugural flight from Baghdad/Najaf to Mumbai will arrive here Sunday (March 18) at 1.30 a.m. (local time).

The Baghdad/Najaf-Mumbai flight will be twice a week -- on Wednesdays and Sundays. The service will arrive here at 1.30 a.m. and depart at 2.30 a.m.

The service shall be operated by a Boeing 737-400 with economy and business class configurations.

The official pointed out that resumption of services between India and Iraq would give a fillip to trade, business and pilgrimage in the two countries.

    flight details, airlines, & timings,departure & arrival at mumbai airport, any intransit halt, total flight time & rates?

    Unfortunately i have checked it on all travel portals but coul'nt find any direct flight to Iraq from India. Can anybody give me flight details if it is really operating irectly between India and Iraq

    sir we are vety happy to know that the direct flight service between india and iraq finally going to be resume and we thank the transport minister of iraq his excellency mr hadi alamiri for making the herculean task effort for this event to take place and we hope and pray allah that this twice a week service converts into daily services.between india and iraq.we also request his ellency mr hadi alamiri to make serious effort to resume the same service from different cities in india to iraq.as there are lot of people want to come to iraq for ziyarat and other buisness relate matters,we also thank our indian counterpart for the effort taken to resume this invaluable service and finally thank you all.
