Taj Mahal to Collapse in Five Years?

Taj Mahal to Collapse in Five Years?

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Oct 5: True love may be eternal, but it seems the monument meant to symbolise this idea is not.

If historians and archeologists are to be believed, Taj Mahal, the world's most beautiful monument built solely for love, is due to collapse in five years' time if not taken care of. The monument's foundations are said to be shaky and are rotting with the passage of time.

The river Yamuna that runs alongside the Taj Mahal is said to be highly contaminated and polluted, thanks to the growing number of industries and not to forget - deforestation. Researchers have said that the base foundation of the monument has become very brittle.

It is learnt that cracks appeared last year in parts of the tomb, and the four minarets, which surround the monument, are showing signs of tilting.

Ramshankar Katheria, member of the parliament, who is leading the campaign to save the monument, told a newspaper, "If the crisis is not tackled on a war-footing, the Taj Mahal will cave in between two and five years." He said, "The architectural wonder of the world is losing its shine, and if this persists the minarets may also collapse since the wooden foundation beneath the wells is rotting."

"No one has been allowed to go into the foundations for the last three decades. If everything is fine, what have they got to hide?" Katheria questioned.

The river Yamuna which is slowly dying away, is one main reason for the present state of the monument. Katheria said. "This was never anticipated by its builders. The river is a constituent of its architectural design and if the river dies, the Taj cannot survive."

The marble mausoleum has been India's pride for about 358 years now and is the most sought-after tourist destination, contributing to the national income by bringing about four million visitors a year to Agra. The Taj Mahal was built by Mogul emperor Shah Jahan, who was grief-stricken by the death of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

    i am agree with you.......
    Chandra
Here im giving u some more clues which will define ur comments on Taj a vedic temple .

1.The term Tajmahal itself never occurs in any mogul court paper or chronicle even in Aurangzeb's time. The attempt to explain it away as Taj-i-mahal is therefore, ridiculous.

2.The ending "Mahal" is never muslim because in none of the muslim countries around the world from Afghanistan to Algeria is there a building known as "Mahal".

3.The unusual explanation of the term Tajmahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal, who is buried in it, is illogical in at least two respects viz., firstly her name was never Mumtaj Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani and secondly one cannot omit the first three letters "Mum" from a woman's name to derive the remainder as the name of the building.

4.Since the lady's name was Mumtaz (ending with 'Z') the name of the building derived from her should have been Taz Mahal, if at all, and not Taj (spelled with a 'J').

5.Several European visitors of Shahjahan's time allude to the building as Taj-e-Mahal is almost the correct tradition, age old Sanskrit name Tej-o-Mahalaya, signifying a Shiva temple. Contrarily Shahjahan and Aurangzeb scrupulously avoid using the Sanskrit term and call it just a holy grave.

6.The tomb should be understood to signify Not A Building but only the grave or centotaph inside it. This would help people to realize that all dead muslim courtiers and royalty including Humayun, Akbar, Mumtaz, Etmad-ud-Daula and Safdarjang h

No need to shed tears for the grave built by a tyrant ruler for his lover.

Let the monument collapse under its own sin.

One should take bath after coming out of a graveyard.

Similarly, whoever visits Taj Mahal has to take bath for purification.

I had received a while ago an e-mail attachment it is said that it was India's best catchy advertisement to encourage tourism and this is how it looked:

The showed a picture of the Taj and below that there was a caption:

COME VIA-AGRA AND SEE MAN'S GREATEST ERECTION FOR A WOMAN.

This is truth. I am sharing my experience. Myself and my family visited this great monument. What I saw 20 years back this Taj Mahal is totally different for me now. Really sad to see as it is not at all snow white now. To visit this one has to remove the shoes at the designated place. My wife, my daughter and me respected the sign board and removed our foot wear and gave to the counter taking care of it till our return.

It was 11.30 am we could not put any more steps as the floor was boiling. But we saw some foreigners wearing their shoes covered with some plastic bags which they only get on payment of entry fee. We pay Rs.30/- and any foregin tourist has to pay Rs.350/- and they get that shoe cover. Are we Indians not human beings - dont the authorities know that our bear foot also gets choked with boiling floor.

I hated this discrimanation and went to the police to lodge a complaint. But there was no such counter. MY HUMBLE SUGGESTION: ANY ONE WHO VISIT TAJ MAHAL PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE YOUR SHOE. INSTEAD CARRY WITH YOU A GIANT PAIR OF SOCKS WHICH FITS SHOES. WEAR THEM AND HAVE A GOOD DARSHAN OF TAJ MAHAL. MY FAMILY SUFFERED. LET YOU NOT SUFFER.

I HATE AND CONDEMN THIS DISCRIMINATION. FOREIGNERS ARE ALLOWED BUT NOT WE INDIANS. I HAD NO TIME AS I WANTED TO FILE CASE AGAINST TAJ MAHAL AUTHORITIES UNDER PUBLIC INTEREST. REMEMBER TO CARRY BIG PAIR OF SOCKS AND WEAR THEM OVER YOUR SHOES. OUR SUFFERING SHOULD NOT COME TO ANY INDIAN EVEN TO OUR ENEMIES, IF ANY

But i knew the realty today i am very thankful to you for that. It should be changed in the primary section books. Otherwise no child could know about the real story behind the taj mahal or the sealed 22 doors should be open under UN observation. Thank you

The point of this presentation is that we have all heard how the Taj Mahal, which is considered one of the great wonders of the world, was built as the preeminent expression of a man's love for a wife. That it was built by emperor Shah Jahan in commemoration of his wife Mumtaz. However, is this a true story? So, in our continuous effort to get to the truth, we have acquired some very important documents and information. Regardless of what anyone thinks, there is some thoughtful information that indicates that the Taj Mahal was never built by Shah Jahan.

Taj Mahal pre-dates Shah Jahan by several centuries and was originally built as a Hindu or Vedic temple/palace complex, and Shah Jahan merely acquired it from its previous owner, the Hindu King Jai Singh. This is not unlike the many other buildings that were acquired by the Muslim invaders to be used for their own purposes. More here: http://www.stephen-knapp.com/was_the_taj_mahal_a_vedic_temple.htm

Taj Mahal to collapse in Five Years! But here, readers have already collapsed due to negative mind.I thought at least in this case, everyone would join together,But I failed to read readers mind.Whether God Shiva is inside or Mumtaz is inside is not the question.Question is India's pride will collapse in 5 years.
I had a chance to visit Taj Mahal 25 years back.I saw some cracks on the pillar that time.Even our guide was telling Government was not taking the matter seriously. One of the main issues is that of Smoke from factories which is adding ugliness to Taj Mahal everyday. Now this new issue of low water level.Hope Government will wake up and save Beauty of India.

Saffron brigade is using history as a tool for myth making and patriotism. These distortions and falsifications are not only being disseminated by these right wing Hindu-chauvinists organizations but by leading educational bodies in the India. These "historical Myths" have been taught for many years at more than 22,000 Vidya Bharati schools operated by the Hindutva movement composed of the BJP, the RSS, World Hindu Council (VHP), Shiv Sena and the Bajrang Dal. Therefore unfortunately the panels below belong to such universities accept the myth with blindfold

It's good news..that Taj Mahal is collapsing..Probably there is no one who has been duped at least once in a life time. But can the whole world can be duped? This may seem impossible. But in the matter of indian and world history the world can be duped in many respects for hundreds of years and still continues to be duped. The world famous Tajmahal is a glaring instance. For all the time, money and energy that people over the world spend in visiting the Tajmahal, they are dished out of concoction. Contrary to what visitors are made to believe the Tajmahal is not a Islamic mausoleum but an ancient Shiva Temple known as Tejo Mahalaya which the 5th generation moghul emperor Shahjahan commandeered from the then Maharaja of Jaipur. The Tajmahal, should therefore, be viewed as a temple palace and not as a tomb. That makes a vast difference. The details of its size, grandeur, majesty and beauty when you take it to be a mere tomb. When told that you are visiting a temple palace you wont fail to notice its annexes, ruined defensive walls, hillocks, moats, cascades, fountains, majestic garden, hundreds of rooms archaded verendahs, terraces, multi stored towers, secret sealed chambers, guest rooms, stables, the trident (Trishul) pinnacle on the dome and the sacred, esoteric Hindu letter "OM" carved on the exterior of the wall of the sanctum sanctorum now occupied by the centotaphs...lootera's right Isamil/Shahnawaz???

If the government does not have the money or the will to fix it, as a last resort could they lease the monument to an Indian company to repair it and then charge everyone a fee for every visitor. Needless to say Indians would pay less than foreigners.
