Two Russian planes make emergency landing

Moscow, July 29 (IANS) A Russian plane with 99 people on board Friday made an emergency landing in Siberia while another aircraft with 301 passengers landed in Belarus capital Minsk due to engine problems.

The first plane - a Tu-154 - lost one of its six landing gears as it took off from the Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik en route to Siberia's Tomsk city, the emergency ministry said.

It was carrying 99 people, including 14 children, Xinhua reported. No one was injured during the landing in Bogashevo, Siberia.

The second plane - a Boeing-767 - was en route from Greece to St. Petersburg. It too landed safely after its fuel pump failed. There were no reports of injuries.
