  • The article / poem / short story should be original and previously unpublished in other websites except in the personal blog of the author.   • The author of the poem / article / short story should include a brief self-introduction limited to 500 characters and his/her recent picture (optional). Pictures relevant to the article may also be sent (optional), provided they are not bound by copyright. Travelogues should be sent along with relevant pictures not sourced from the Internet. Travelogues without relevant pictures will be rejected.
  • In case of a short story / article, the write-up should be at least one-and-a-half pages in word document in Times New Roman font 12 (or, about 700-800 words). Contributors are requested to keep their write-ups limited to a maximum of four pages. Longer write-ups may be sent in parts to publish in installments. Each installment should be sent within a week of the previous installment. A single poem sent for publication should be at least 3/4th of a page in length. Multiple short poems may be submitted for single publication.
  • All submissions should be in Microsoft Word format or text file. Pictures should not be larger than 1000 pixels in width, and of good resolution. Pictures should be attached separately in the mail and may be numbered if the author wants them to be placed in order.
  • Submission of the article / poem / short story does not automatically entail that it would be published. Daijiworld editors will examine each submission and decide on its acceptance/rejection purely based on merit.
  • Daijiworld reserves the right to edit the submission if necessary for grammar and spelling, without compromising on the author's tone and message.
  • Daijiworld reserves the right to reject submissions without prior notice. Mails/calls on the status of the submission will not be entertained. Contributors are requested to be patient.
  • The article / poem / short story should not be targeted directly or indirectly at any individual/group/community. Daijiworld will not assume responsibility for factual errors in the submission.
  • Once accepted, the article / poem / short story will be published as and when we have space. Publication may take up to four weeks from the date of submission of the write-up, depending on the number of submissions we receive. No author will be published twice in succession or twice within a fortnight.
  • Time-bound articles (example, on Mother's Day) should be sent at least a week in advance. Please specify the occasion as well as the date on which you would like it published while sending the write-up.

We all tend to overthink over most of the things in our life. It may be a trivial issue for others but not for the person who is overthinking on it. The mind has the power to control all the thoughts. If we do not control our mind of thoughts, then we are pushing ourselves into a dangerous state of mind of overthinking.

When we overthink of silly or small issues in our life, for example if someone hasn’t replied to our message or if someone did not like our profile picture on social media or someone has not invited to their house for a gathering, whatever the reasons may be for those situations, if you start to keep thinking on finding the reasons behind those issues, you will constantly think and think and end up overthinking. This will destroy your own happiness and peace of mind.

We all go through ups and downs of life that is how life is meant to be. We cannot live each day in our life as we need, circumstances change. Blending with the changes in life is the real-life challenge. There is no need to ponder so deeply over small things in life, just let it go, just live your life to the fullest with good thoughts and deeds. Do not let your mind to overthink on someone else’s behaviour. People change, relations change, friends change, society changes in fact the whole world is changing every day and so our near and dear ones. By overthinking, you develop negative thoughts and it can lead to depression. When you face terrible situations in life, remain positive and let nature take its role, accept the outcome, it may be difficult at times, but if there is no way of a solution to certain problems, overthinking does not help, instead it will crush you further and whatever positivity within you also diminishes. We all are bound to succeed and fail. No one is either successful always or failure in life. Overthinking drains your brain, makes you more forgetful and self-confidence reduces. This will make you less productive. Overthinking does not help to resolve any problem, instead it creates more problems, and it may even lead to depression. There is nothing worse than seeing a person depressed, who may appear normal in front of others.

Rather than overthinking on any issues which is actually of least important in your life but it may be hard to accept the fact, you must make up your mind and accept that change and go ahead in your life. Your own life is precious to yourself first, do not waste it on worrying and overthinking. At times when we are worrying and thinking of any problem over and over, we are overthinking just not thinking. Today the whole world is facing the crisis of COVID 19 pandemic. Many have lost their lives, at time of death no loved ones were allowed to hold the hands of the dying person, many are jobless, homeless, lonely, striving to live a normal life but unable to do so, overthinking people who are overthinking simple problems in life imagine the situation of those above who have been affected to the pandemic crises. Try to overcome the emotion of overthinking and just enjoy the life that God has given by searching for goodness in others.

    So true that overthinking has become a menace, a disease to many that eats them up like cancer. It is good to highlight the available solutions for this problem.
    1. One cannot stop thinking, thinking is a normal activity of brain. However if one forms a habit of analyzing the thought process and avoids dwelling in to negative thoughts and useless worry over things that cannot be changed , it helps.
    2. Stop dreaming of becoming perfect. No one is perfect. We need to learn to forgive ourselves and accept that our imperfections are the ones that make us perfect . Learning to appreciate the way we are.
    3. People who overthink are usually are the ones who also have obsession of control. We need to accept the fact that we cannot control every accept of life. Let the things to fall in to place by themselves.
    4. When we train our thoughts about the misfortunes of others, the terrible fact of hunger and misery of the world, we learn to automatically think less of our own petty issues. That is one way of living in peace.
    5.Last but not least, remember the words from Gospels, by worrying no man is able to add to his stature, even the hair of our head are counted by our ever loving heavenly father. Find assurance and solace in the Gospels.

    Good observation of human nature. Overthinking drives a person crazy, but it is in most cases short-term with no lasting effect. However, if it occurs late in the day and carries over to sleeping time, the mind tends to wander into unknown territory and the overthinker's brain works over time, leading to dreams of all kinds, in deep sleep waking up the dreamer from time to time. If those dreams are carried over there may be spill-over effect, eventually leading to depression.

    Over thinking as well as habitual thinking are the reasons for many social evils like depression, anxiety and suicides. Over thinking is mostly negative. Adults most of the time either live in the past or future unlike children. That is the major reason why children achieve instant happiness. Children live in the present and live happily.
    One of the most desired soft skills of the present times is stopping / controlling over thinking.

    Good thoughts, well written,

    Also continuous thoughts are dangerous as our mind, as it is like a thought machine or processor. With too many thoughts mind tends to get heated up. So some people rely on smoking or drinking for temporary relaxation but they too are dangerous to self.

    Best way to overcome this to read holy scriptures they give words of wisdom. It's like the life manual. Even meditation gives temporary relief but these words of wisdom guides you how to deal with any situation. Most of these wisdom words just opposite to worldly normal like,

    Love your enemies! Jesus' teaching in the bible. Worldly sense impossible but if you think deeply or what happens if don't love the enemies, worst case either one will be in grave other will be in Jail or both may end up in hospital, with broken body and suffering. Same way one more bible teaching give other cheek when someone slaps you on one. Again worldly standard impossible but this saves you from more suffering and next day one's enemy will be asking pardon, later may be thanking you also for saving his face, due to his guilt conscience of acting in haste and first.

    Same way these words of wisdom gives one spirit to accomplish difficult tasks or carrying on with life situation.
