Mumbai: Gopalakrishna Public trust, BSKB association sets in motion three day long Ganeshotsava

Mumbai, Aug 31: The three day long Ganeshotsava festival was set in motion at renovated Gokula Mandira, Sion under the aegis of Gopalakrishna Public trust and Bombay South Kanara Brahmins association on August 31.

Poojas and other rituals were held under the supervision of Rajesh Rao and Vinodini Rao. Chief temple priest Vedamurthi Srinivas Bhat Dharegudde, priest Gopal Bhat Kidiyoor and Vidwan Guruprasad Bhat performed poojas and blessed the devotees.

Gokula Bhajana Mandali and Yuva Kalavrinda performed Bhajans. Doordarshan artist Anirudh Mandar Bide group performed Abhanga and Bhajans. Harish Ayyar group performed Bhajans in the afternoon. National award recipient Mahesh Kale group presented devotional songs in the evening.

Gopalakrishna Public trust trustees B Ramananda Rao, Krishna Acharya, Shailini Rao, Krishnaraj Tantri, secretary S Ramavitala Kalluraya, BSKB association and GPT trust president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, vice president Vaman Holla and Avinash Shastri, secretary APK Pothi, treasurer CA Haridas Bhat, joint secretaries Chitra Melmane and Prashanth Herle, joint treasurer Ganesh Bhat, ladies wing president Sahana A Pothi, Gokula Bhajana Mandali committee and media committee president I K Prema S Rao, BSKBA first lady Vijayalaxmi Suresh Rao, former chief priest Hari Bhat Muchooru, Elloor Gururaj Bhat, Sarvajna Udupa, Umesh Rao, Balakrishna Udupa and other office bearers, members and a large number of devotees were present.
