Emami Brings New Skincare Technology to India


Kolkata, April 13 (IANS) The Rs.1,100-crore Emami Limited Tuesday announced the acquisition of the exclusive India rights of a award-winning skincare 'multi-plant stem cell' technology.

According to a company release here, the technology will change the dynamics of the skincare industry in the country and pave the way for a new course of growth for Emami.

The company has acquired the rights of the technology from Mibelle Biochemistry of Switzerland.

The current Indian skincare market is valued at Rs.5,000 crore approximately and is growing at the rate of 15 percent, it said.

Priti Sureka, director, Emami Limited, said: "This is a great opportunity for the Indian consumers to enjoy the benefits of this technology matching up to international standards. Emami is delighted to have been the catalyst behind introducing this technology in India."
