Udupi: Banner depicting Hindu Rashtra put up on Brahmagiri circle, PFI wants it removed

Udupi, Aug 15: A banner was put up at Brahmagiri Circle to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.

The banner depicted Hindu Rashtra with Veer Savarkar and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose being called revolutionaries and the ones who won the freedom for India. The banner was put up by Pramod Uchchila, Yogish Kutpadi and Shailesh wishing the citizens a happy Independence Day on the occasion.

Meanwhile, PFI activists urged the authorities to remove this banner.

    These stupid people cannot even on our 75th Independence Day stop their idiotic acts even for a day and celebrate our freedom struggle and unity for the sake of our motherland. Public should stand up to these goons or they will control our lives.
