UAE, Apr 10: The third annual celebration of Udyavara MuslimUnity(UMU) was held at GMC Universities Body & Soul amphitheater on Friday April 8 at 8 PM.
UMU’s honorary president and director of MYA Udyavara Haji Abdul Jaleel Saheb presided over the function. Haji Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group was present as chief guest.
Teerthahalli Jamithul Quba president Sardar Naveed was also present as the guest at the function. The function started with the short video presentation followed by the recitation of Holy Quran by treasurer Imthiyaz Sattar. Ms.Hafsa Jaleel welcomed the guests.
Chief Guest Haji Thumbay Moideen expressed his best wishes and promised his full support in its all future activities. Joint Secretary Asif Kader presented the annual report for the year 2010-2011. Audit report was presented by UMU’s auditor Wajid Mohammed.
UMU’s general secretary Khaliq Hyder was honoured by the office-bearers of the unity for his effort in the success of the unity. Addressing the function UMU’s Hon.President Haji Abdul Jaleel saheb said UMU is extending its help to the needy families of Udyavara by way of donations to the poor students for further studies and supporting the poor family marriage functions.
A new toilet block was donated to Jamiya Masjid Udyavara by UMU recently and they have started new project of building Abulution area for the Jamiya Masjid Udyavara. He thanked the all the members of UMU and the respected donors who extended their help for this noble cause, President Khaiser Mohammed Abu praised the achievements of the unity in his sweet and short speech. Unities advisor Ansar Aziz appreciated the Team work behind the success and said it is impossible to reach the goals individually.
Prizes were distributed for the winners of various sports and other competitions and raffle draw took place. Joint Secretary Feroz Shareef delivered vote of thanks. General Secretary Khaliq Hyder anchored the program. Naseer Ibrahim recited the DUA at the end. Housie Housie game was the mega entertainer of the event at the end. Pool Side Dinner was served after the function at the Body and Soul Club of GMC University Campus.
