Mangaluru: Relaxation in prohibitory orders on Independence Day subject to prior permission

Mangaluru, Aug 8: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar has announced relaxation of restrictions under CrPC Section 144 in effect at present, for the celebrations of India’s independence only after obtaining prior approvals.

Various organizations, political parties and people will be celebrating 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

The police commissioner, in his communique, informed of the relaxations on the restrictions under section 144 within the commissionerate, provided, permission is obtained from the competent authority in advance.

    I still cannot understand why there is no mention of anything rhyming with aazil. What happened to that case which needed imposition of these prohibitory orders in the first place?
