Mangaluru: Patron saint feast celebrated at St Lawrence English Medium School Bondel

Mangaluru, Aug 8: The patron saint's feast was celebrated in the school by the students, teachers and management grandly.

Fr Alwin D'Souza, the assistant director of St Joseph's Engineering College Vamanjoor celebrated the holy Mass for the catholic students and thanked god for the blessings received by the intercessions of St Lawrence, the patron saint.

The chief guest along with the principal and class representatives paid floral homage. Fr Alwin any is message to the student said, "St Lawrence was a faithful and dedicated saint for his mission. Achieving success was not his foremost aim but becoming faithful and respecting humanity by being obedient to god was his final destination. Like Saint Lawrence we need to respect the humanity and try to cultivate the values that God desires of us."

The president Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza said, "St Lawrence was a lover of poor people, he teaches us to love the poor and help the needy."

The school children entertained the gathering by beautiful cultural programme. Like wise, the winners of various sports events at cluster and zonal level where felicitated during the programme.

Fr Peter Gonsalves along with all the teaching and non-teaching staff members were present in the festal celebration.
