Mogaveer Vyavastapaka Mandali Celebrates 70th Anniversary of ‘Mogaveer’ Monthly

Mumbai, Apr 4: The metro-based Mogaveer Vyvastapaka Mandali organized a litterateurs’ and poets’ convention as part of the 70th anniversary of ‘Mogaveer’ monthly at Mogaveer Bhavan, Veer Desai Road, Andheri (West), on Sunday April 3.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palettady inaugurated the programme on Sunday morning.

Karnataka Sangh president and veteran litterateur Dr G D Joshi presided over the litterateurs’ convention.



Indira M Salian, social activist and poet from Pune, was the chief guest on the occasion. 

Litterateur and writer Ravi Ra Anchan, journalist Srinivas Jokatte spoke on journalism in the metro and of media persons.

Writer and poet Gangadhar Paniyoor spoke on religious organizations in the metro.

Mitrapatna Narayan A Bangera, S Ucchil, G T Acharya, and Sanat Kumar Jain participated in the discussions on the role of religious leaders in politics, law, and social organizations, environmental campaign and coastal residents.  Journalist Dayasagar Chowta moderated the programme.

Shimantoor Chandrahas Suvarna presided over the poets’ session that was held as part of the programme.

G P Kusuma, Mariappa Natekar, Dr Karunakar N Shetty, Somanath Karkera, Gopal Trasi, Petri Vishwanat Shetty, Sharada A Anchan, Sa Daya, Devdas P Salian, Umesh H Karkera, Mahesh Hegde, Chandrashekar Rao, Ganesh Kumar, Indira Kulkarni, Mary B Pinto, Ashok Kulkarni, Arvind Anchan, Anand Naik, and Rammohan Shetty Balkunje recited their poems on the occasion.

Mogaveer Vyavastapaka Mandali president Ajit G Suvarna, honorary chief secretary H Arun Kumar, and Ashok Suvarna, editor, ‘Mogaveer’ monthly, was present on the dais.

A large number of literary enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
