Ajman: GMU Signs MoU with Semmelweis University, Hungary

Ajman, Apr 3: Gulf Medical University, Ajman, United Arab Emirates, signed a long-term memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the 240-year-old Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary for a mutually beneficial joint academic collaboration.

The agreement was signed at Semmelweis University campus in Budapest by Thumbay Moideen, president, Gulf Medical University and Prof Dr Tivadar Tulassay, rector of Semmelweis University in the presence of officials representing Gulf Medical University and Semmelweis University.

Thumbay Moideen said,"This MOU comes as part of our commitment to work closely with professional and reputable institutions to provide quality education and research services to our students and the community at large,". He added that the agreement between Gulf Medical University and Semmelwies University will offer students and faculty of both the institutions an excellent opportunity to develop their academic, clinical and research skills besides enriching the educational value accrued.

On his part Prof Dr Tivadar Tulassay, rector of Semmelweis University said, "We are delighted to sign this MOU with Gulf Medical University". "We believe that our joint efforts will eventually lead to fostering our mutual teaching and research resources and empower students and faculty to effectively contribute to the development of medical education, healthcare and research," he added.
