Mangaluru Jun 29: The government has turned weak, inactive, irresponsible and the chief minister is helpless, said District Congress president Harish Kumar.

Addressing the media here on Friday, June 29, Harish Kumar said, "The chief minister is helpless over the tension prevailing in Dakshina Kannada after three brutal murders in last 10 days. There has been bias while distributing compensation, Masood was not given compensation from the government."

"This is not a group clash murder, but a guerilla type of assasination. These elements don't have fear of the government or the department. The leaders rise to power after the innocent are murdered or going to jail. Now youths are slowly realising the fact. Central government minister gave a statement that the killers came from Kerala. So why are locals arrested? So have they fixed the case?", he questioned.

"Amit Shah , Nalin Kumar were giving statements that if anybody dares to touch any party worker they will not be spared. Now what about the murder. of BJP workers and also are nurturing SDPI? PFI with money gained from corruption. If BJP has courage they should ban SDPI and PFI. When AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi delivered a provocative speech why no action was taken? What happened to the 56-inch chested Prime Minister?," he ridiculed..

Harish Kumar demanded the resignation of the chief minister and Rs 50 lac compensation to the deceased's families.

"Chief minister cancelled the Sadhana Samavesha not out of Praveen's concern but the anguish of party workers has hit them very hard."
