Bengaluru. Jul 27: The State Government is determined to nab the killers of BJP worker Praveen Nettaru of Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said and declared: "We will not rest till the culprits who perpetrated the heinous act in Mangaluru, that provokes social unrest and discord, are crushed."

Speaking to media persons in the backdrop of the murder of BJP worker Praveen Nettaru, the Chief Minister said: "Praveen was killed yesterday in Mangaluru. Orders have been issued for stringent action against the culprits. Karnataka police officers are in constant touch with their Kerala counterparts to nab the killers."

"The SP of Mangaluru has spoken to Kasaragod SP. Our DGP has also taken up the issue with Kerala DGP. Teams have been formed and operations have been launched to nab the killers. The culprits would be nabbed soon and severely punished," he said.

Bommai said stringent action would be taken as we did in similar cases that happened in Mangaluru, DG Halli and Shivamogga.

The outfits and forces behind these cases would be crushed, Bommai said and appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.

He also requested the people to desist from issuing provocative statements and cooperate in the investigations.

Replying to a question on the possibility of handing over the investigation to NIA, the Chief Minister said: "We will not hesitate to hand it over to NIA if such a necessity arises."

Rs 1 cr compensation to Praveen’s family sought

Meanwhile, Arya Idiga National Mahamandal Chief Dr Sri Pranavanand Swamiji has demanded that the government should pay Rs 1 crore as compensation to Praveen’s family and provide a government job to his widow.

Condemning the murder, he said it was deplorable that Bilava community youth were killed due to political vendetta and has urged the youth to be more vigilant and ensure that such dastardly murders does not take place in future.

There is a difference between "Ready to handover" and "handing over" ..or simply nabbing the culprits and punishing them . The other day the Mangalore Police head was showing off pointing at a drug peddlers long hair at a public parade. They are fit only to do this kind of stunts in social media against petty and small time thieves and 5 rupees ganja peddlers . I doubt if karnataka police ,The ministers and CM have it in them to handle law and order situation in the state any more . Their credibility is at stake.

"Chief Minister said: "We will not hesitate to hand it over to NIA if such a necessity arises Rs 1 cr compensation to Praveen’s family sought" Is he paying from his Bank account. ? Why Tax payers money should be donated for political murder ? Collection must be raised from the supporters and the organizations who encourage communal hatred. My question whether the government is ready in case the murder had taken on some one from a minority community ??? where are your sentiments and sympathetic feelings associated with crocodile tears.? First ensure that society is not divied on communal and relion basis . Let people have peaceful co-existence.

Definitely no, govt would hv made statements of giving 1 crore rupees and job fr the family if a person from minority community was killed, a week ago, a person named noushad was brutally killed, no leader or CM came forward to announce any compensation. Govt is playing with tax payers money. CM is saying as if hez spndg from his pocket or from his party's treasure, it public money.

Why no same reaction when muslim killed last week? RSS is main reason for social unrest through out India if you need really peace in society take action against RSS. Every day you are sacrificing youths for the political gain how long general public will tolerate ? Soon will know colour of your parent organisation! Stop shedding crocodile tears on Hindus. Even Hindus more safe and prosperous in non- hindu countries.
