Mumbai, Jul 18: Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra elected their new office bearers for the term 2022-2025 at the Manifold auditorium, Ghatkoper west, on July 17. It was presided over by high court advocate Rohini J Salian.
Rons Bantwal was re-elected as president. Dr Shiva Moodigere, S Daya and Vishwanath V Poojary were elected as Vice president, honorary chief secretary and honorary treasurer respectively.
Elections for 16 members of the executive committee were held recently. Among them Savita Suresh Shetty was elected joint secretary and Dr Durgappa Y Kotiavar as joint treasurer. Executive committee members Ranga S Poojary, Dr G P Kusuma, Dr Dinesh Shetty Renjala, Ravindra R Shetty Talipady, Nagesh Poojary Elinje, Anita P Poojary Takode, Jayanth K Suvarna, Nagaraj K Devadiga, Peter F D’ Souza, Karunaker V Shetty, Gopala Poojary Trasi, Shama M Hande and Sadarama N Shetty were elected unanimously.
Specially invited member, assigned election officer CA Jagadish B Shetty conducted the election processes.
Advisory committee members elected on the occasion were Dr Sunita M Shetty, advocate K P Prakash L Shetty, CA I R Shetty, Dr R K Shetty, Dr Suresh S Rao, advocate B Mohiuddin Mundkur, Suresh A Poojary, Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary, CA Jagadish B Shetty, Shashidhar B Shetty, Gregory D’ Almeida and Lakshman C Poojary. Specially invited members were Ashok S Suvarna, Sadananda K Safaliga, Dr Shivarama K Bhandary, Harish Poojary Kokkarne, advocate Amitha S Bhagwath, Mundkur Surendra Salian, Chandrashekar R Belchada and Sathish S Salian.
The Sangha is preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The elections for the executive committee were fifth since the inception of the sangha.
Rons Bantwal welcomed, gave an introductory address, recollected and congratulated those who cooperated for the success of the sangha and elections of the office bearers. Advocate Rohini J Salian, Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary and Sadananda K Safalya were felicitated with flower bouquets and mementos. Ashok S Suvarna conducted the hall programme. Savita Suresh Shetty rendered a vote of thanks.
