Mumbai, Mar 24: The Kannada department of Mumbai University (MU) organized a special lecture on Kannada culture at the backdrop of stone inscriptions at Vidyanagari – Kalina campus, Santacruz (East) here on Tuesday March 22.

Karnataka’s renowned researcher Dr H S Gopal Rao delivered the lecture on Karnataka culture at the backdrop of stone inscriptions on the occasion. The farewell function for the students of II year Kannada and felicitation of lecturers by the students too was held in a simple ceremony.



MU Kannada department chief Dr G N Upadhya, Dr Vishwanat Karnad, Dr H S Gopal Rao, Dr G D Joshi were the dignitaries present.

Mamatha Mallar, Sharada Anchisange, Jyothi Devadiga, Poornima Shetty, M A Ratna, journalist Dinesh Shetty Renjala and II year students were present.
