Mumbai, Jul 7: Gopal Palan Kalyanpur (76), former employee of MTNL, active member, advisor of Thonse Baidarkala Pancha Dhoomavati Garodi Seva Trust, philanthropist passed away at his Orlem apartment residence, Malad west here on Thursday, July 7 due to a heart attack.

He hailed from Mooduthonse, Udupi. He was a philanthropist in Mumbai and his hometown and had indulged in social work. He was famous by the name of MTNL Gopal in Mumbai. He was the honorary president of Billavara Association Mumbai Malad local office and was actively involved in it.

He has left behind his wife, two sons, friends and relatives.

Brahmabaidarkala Pancha Dhoomavati Garodi Seva Trust Mumbai president Nithyananda D Kotian, honorary chief secretary Thonse Sanjiva Poojary, executive committee, advisory committee and members have condoled his death.
