First ever triplets born at Mother & Child hospital in Udupi

Udupi, Jul 7: For the first time, triplets were born in Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Haji Abdullah Mother & Child Hospital on Thursday July 7.

Caesarean section was successfully carried out on 27-year-old Siddi tribe woman by the team of Dr Kavisha Bhat, Dr Rajani Karant, Dr Suryanarayana, Dr Ganapati Hegde and Dr Mahadeva Bhat.

Mother of the children is of Ankola origin in Uttara Kannada district. Hospital sources confirmed that mother and the triplets are healthy and doing well.

The government is running the hospital from June 1 and the birth of triplets is a successful achievement by the team of doctors of this hospital.
