Govt appoints ambassadors to Turkey & Peru


New Delhi, Jul 1 (IANS): The government on Friday appointed new ambassadors to Turkey and Peru.

Vishvas Vidu Sapkal, IFS 1998 batch presently Joint Secretary in Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Peru.

Virander Kumar Paul, IFS of 1991 batch, presently High Commissioner of India to Kenya has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Turkey.

They are expected to take up the assignment shortly.
